Dependent on how long you have presented with your current problem, etc, you can experience what we call ‘treatment soreness’. So, you might experience a feeling of increased aches like gym soreness or a bruised feeling after your session with the physio, which is completely normal.

It is does not mean your physiotherapist has made things worse. In that instance, use a form of heat eg. Heat bag, infrared lamp, heat patches, hot water bottle. If the pain is intense, you may take an anti-inflammatory and/ or a muscle relaxant. It is imperative that you do the exercises that were given to you.
